Welcome to the Abstria blog

A place for practical thinking on turning goals into action, how to get the most out of Abstria, and product updates. Here is what this blog will cover.

Welcome to the Abstria blog. This is where we write — as practically as we can — about how to keep goals from becoming set-and-forget wishes.

What we'll write about

Goal management isn't about crafting an impressive plan. It's about translating that plan into daily action and actually keeping it going. Abstria is built around a hierarchy — YAP (year) → MAP (month) → WAP (week) → DAP (day) — to connect big goals to the single step you take today.

This blog will focus on three things:

  • Ideas on goal management — what separates goals that stick from ones that don't, and how to design reviews
  • How to use Abstria — mandala charts, weekly reviews, and working the inbox
  • Product updates — news on new features and improvements

Why think in layers

The goal you set in January is forgotten by spring because there's too much distance between the yearly goal and what you do today.

A big goal only starts moving once it's translated into a small today.

Abstria turns that translation into a system. Year into month, month into week, week into today. Because every layer connects, you can feel that today's step is actually moving a distant goal forward.

Glad to have you here.
